Winning Moments Part2

Another winning moments, when my students received additional prizes from Smartschools for their entry in the "Doon Po Sa Amin" Learning Challenge. All smiles.. as they received their prizes in the form of flash drive, pen, t-shirt, bag and notebook... Thank you smartschools for being part of their smile!

Winning Moments from Smartschools

I just can't forget the happy faces of my students when they received their prizes from smartschools. They were the students whom I constantly motivated to join smartschools ,"Pasko Sa Amin" video presentation, last December of 2008. I never really thought that they will join and at the same time win..., upon learning from the internet that they won, they really can't wait to get their prizes...they were very excited to use their smartbro kit....and constantly asking if their prizes arrived....and here it is... the excited and happy faces of the team as well as their classmates....The best thing that happened this day was, my camera was able to capture Jaykie's excited face (above) as she opens her prize....to Jaykie and the whole team congratulations.....

Meeting A former student in ICT

Though our team did not win the first prize, (we only got the 1st runner up in short the second prize), but we really enjoyed the whole experience. Here I, met one of my former student in ICT after three long years... he also happens to be the classmates of my contestants during their first year in the STOHS . He is Nathaniel General of the Surigao NHS (the boy opss i mean the guy near Lawrence) he was one of the contestant who won the first prize.....small world indeed!. And even if we got the second place, we felt we were winners too. To Nathaniel.....its good to see you after all these years!

1st CARAGA Youth in IT - ICT Quiz Bowl 2009

ANHS joins the 1st CARAGA Youth in Information Technology, an ICT Quiz Bowl, held at NORMISIST, Ampayon Butuan City last July 1 and 2, 2009. This was participated by different public high school in the CARAGA region. Our schools representatives are my former students in ICT namely Lawrence Wilmer P. Anatalio, Jose Carlo D. Mendoza, Angel A. Pitogo Jr, Dean Beau A. Lozarie and Davey June Nunez....It was indeed a very informative experience, not only for the students but also for the teachers as well. The ICT students of NORMISIST devised a new set-up in conducting a quiz bowl with the use of the new technology...computers...

All contestants are required to bring their laptap, for they will just be clicking their answers in the programmed questions instead of writing it in an illustration board with their chalk.."high tech" indeed. After a few seconds, contestants scores will be viewed on screen and the audience will know if their bet got the correct answers....a very thrilling and wonderful experience in the field of ICT.

The JPCS of NORMISIST really did a good job. They were able to make a program that will cater to the needs of every quiz bowl masters in the Department of Education....wish they could also share to us their expertise in creating online quizzes for our students in the fields of ICT and other subjects....Thanks to the organizer for inviting us to join and a big thank you to our beloved principal for finally allowing or school to participate.

My Students in CAREER Pathways II - SY. 2008-2009

After three years of teaching in the STOHS curriculum (science high), this year, I was given some students from the RBEC curriculum. They are under the program of the Career Pathways. They are now in their second year level....hopefully....but out of the original 21, 12 were able to enroll this year....why? i guess it has to do something with proper scheduling....and the like....well as of this moment when they pose for this picture there were only 12 survivors....only 10 were present here since 2 were absent....upon posting this blog only 11 really survived, 1 student decided to drop...because of failing grades from other subjects...its really sad 'coz he was really good in computers, especially in our class. To Lency....hope you will decide to come back....
